The SCOOP are a forward thinking young bunch who all share the common goals of creating better futures for disadvantaged children, as well as setting up an inclusive and ultra transparent organisation that offers life changing volunteering positions.

Maintaining integrity and honesty in everything we do, we feel we are only at the beginning of our journey and ask you to join us, criticize us, probe us and use us for your own altruistic ambitions!

Meet the SCOOP

Andy Sweeney, Founder & CEO

Andy holds a BA in Sociology & Spanish from Trinity College, Dublin. Since graduating he has worked in events and has traveled extensively and encountered many highs and lows along the way. He believes the SCOOP can rectify some of these lows. He also has a passion for throwing different events

Annmarie Brennan, Secretary

Annmarie holds a MA in Public Affairs & Political Communications from DIT and a Diploma in Public relations and Event Management. She has also worked closely with the Irish Traveller Movement, the Irish Mental Health Coalition and the National Advisory Committee on Drugs. She is at present travelling the globe!

George Gerard Mealy, Treasurer

George holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business & Law from UCD and is a Director of Mealy's Auctioneers. He is our in-house auctioneer, gentleman and scholar. His love for the arts and music coupled with his experience in law, accountancy and business practice are a treasured asset to the SCOOP.

Calvin James Sweeney, Youth Program

Calvin works as a Social Care Worker in residential childcare and does the tunes on weekends.  He also runs the SCOOP's music programme for young people in care. He is also in charge of our Youth Program.

Conor Feeney, Events & Youth Program

Conor has studied Music Technology as well as Media T.V. & Film Production. Working as a promoter in Dublin he has fundraised for Self Help Africa, Love Shack Kenya & Aware, and has performed at the 'Lake of Stars' festival in Malawi.
